In 1989, ADTECH Systems began as a small audio-visual technology reseller that rapidly evolved into New England's leading full-service commercial audio-visual installation company with over 50 employees and $40M in annual revenues.

During this time, the ADTECH team noted a growing trend in the often lavish home entertainment and residential technology markets. The team also found that while the technology was available to the general public, potential customers had a real problem: they didn't know where to find the technology or how to make it work once they got it home.

The ADTECH team was determined to solve this problem with the much anticipated November 2003 launch of Home Entertainment Expo in Sudbury, Massachusetts.

The concept of Home Entertainment Expo (EXPO) is simple: to provide a place for people to see, touch and test the latest home entertainment and residential technologies in their natural environment — the home.

As a design-build company, EXPO offers complete solutions such as custom and pre-configured home theaters — boasting an incredible array of the world's most sought after home entertainment brands, whole house audio (including outdoor systems), lighting control systems, drapery and shade control systems, structured wiring, home networking, home automation and installation services — all within a home environment.

"Forget bright lights and crowded aisles," commented Jim Ares, Director of Operations for EXPO. "The only way to see how these products really work is to see them in the home. And that's exactly where we've put them."

EXPO's "home" is actually a sprawling historic building, which was once a private residence. Fully renovated to include ten unique home settings - including a state-of-the-art high-tech kitchen and an indoor/outdoor patio area to demonstrate outdoor audio systems, this home is fully-equipped to give each client a real-world account of how their products will function in their own homes.

With its "on-time/on-budget" approach and its commitment to absolute customer satisfaction, EXPO attracts home owners and builders from all across New England. "Our goal is to provide our clients with the perfect technology solution accompanied by the highest level of customer satisfaction," explained Ares. EXPO's showroom is open year-round with designers available for private appointments.
